Thank for that. So no change to the scope zero when it is attached. I assume that when the scope magnification is increased that the image becomes more pixelated. At what point do you reckon this make the system unusable. My Swarovski has a low end magnification of 3.5.

Ye 3.5 bit high,Swarovski hmm$$$$ i use to only have a nikki stirling 1.5x6x42 $300.Works perfect,Sometimes iv only dial mag up to 2.
Nikko stirling 1.5x6x42 and Jauger 1.5x6x42 are both avaible in NZ and below $700.

I had my pard 4k nightstalker and a set of viper Styx out the last few nights as planting natives.
Combined with thermal hand held it makes for a formidable combination.
374yds standing with the viper Styx for support, place your shot.
Clear as for identification and the ballistic app doing it's thing.

Likely about 12x
It goes up to 20X

@Tahr does the picture quality deteriorate much with the increasing zoom?

It degrades a bit because it's digital but never to the point that I cant get an accurate shot. There is a black and white day/night mode which is excellent in low light and dusk.

So how would you rate the optical clarity of the Sytong compared to the Zulus?

Daytime the Sytong is about 10-15% behind the Zulus. But the Sytong is still plenty good enough. The Zulus is exceptional.
Night time with the on board IR they are on a par or a slight edge to the Sytong.
The range finder on the Sytong seems to be less temperamental under all conditions than the Zulus.
The focus on the Sytong is better than on the Zulus.

Either do what ever is asked of them for me and I don't think I can recommend one over the other.
The Sytong is a a hundred bucks cheaper. I have a sneaking suspicion that the Sytong might end up being more reliable.

Ive shot wallaby out to 430 yds with the Zulus and deer out to 381 with the Sytong.
