I suspect a lot of the NF cost is in machining that scope body from a billet. Super strong body that, far better than the spun tubes of many other scopes.
10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.

Haha I should add that we don't buy NF for the glass we buy it for the reliability and dial ability and there they don't let you down

Never had an issue with my sightrons though? Although I have not had much usage with a NF. Is there really enough difference in them to justify the extra cost? Or are we just paying for wank factor?

In the dialing ability and rugged construction - yes - however if you want to be super anal on glass -the S3 wins

I have mentioned this before but here we go again

My 20 moa turn, (hi-speed turret) NSXs have noticably better glass than the 10moa turn ones they replaced

I haven't looked through a Sightron yet to compare them
Contact me for reloading components, brass, projectiles, powder, primers, etc

So just if 30calterry aka the midget has bought a Rem 700 R5 300 win mag and wishes to shoot a deer not a bit of paper or steel at say 1000 mtrs to kill it and eat it there actually is not a lot of good advise as to which scope to buy. Not to be forgetting that he also can shoot rabbits off his deck at 440 mtrs with his old rig Save up and buy nightforce or buy sightron ?? It ain't gonna be a range gun it will be an in the field gun and the little short bugger is actually pretty good shot early enough in the day IE minus TUI what's the call sightron or nightforce. .?

Does he want to hunt with it or have the option to club fur seals with it too.
    Savage1 and BRADS like this.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Now all we really need is the opportunity to look thru both it's a blimmin hard call I'd say Sightron and mod the gun more but only cos I know the midgets a really good shot I'll keep you posted which way we go.

Yep in the meantime I will keep telling them where ther shots are going he he
