Oz had a factory in Lithgow so away we went. But we still used/use Austrian parts.
    And so ended Bayonet training......................

The SA80? An army armourer told me they were a POS. I have no experience with any myself.

The A2 was our choice and recomendation to Wellington, but it made no difference, the Aussies were getting the Steyrs someone down there thought to get in first. Plus the yanks weren't going to cut us too much of a deal. Besides everyone was in love with a 2x POS intergrated scope on a standard service rifle!!!!

Just goes to show some times it pays to take a punt. I was watching a ATN 7600 Gen3 ? weapon sight on trademe a few weeks ago.
It didn`t reach reserve and was offered to me and others for $1500 . Well I thought about it but decided at that price something had to be wrong with it or it was not a U.S Gen3.
Had a email from the guy who bought it and sure enough its a U.S Gen3 and in very good condition. I would have estermated $3-$4K would have been a fair price to sell at so at $1500 the buyer should be wrapped.
If you are still looking for something Dave just keep looking and Im sure something will crop up.
