I have an older pair of Nikon Monarch 10x42s - very good optics. Not quite up there with euro glass but great clarity, sharp definition and good low light performance. Greta value for money

I have not long ago bought a pr of Monarch 7 8x42, for use in Canada as both my Lecia are now in NZ,
yep I like them a lot, I put the glass close to my Leica, clear right to edges, sharp, Nikon in my view, is a real hidden gem, in sport optic's.
focus dials easy and smooth, compact, and good Lenz coves.
    I buy them again,

I have an older pair Monarch 3 I think 8x36. They have done a huge amount of work with no problems. At the price point they are very good value. Sure there are better out there but at 3-4 times the price. My brother got a pair of 10x42 off Trademe and one of the ocular eye pieces has simply fallen out. So like anything you get good ones and not so good. Purchase from a dealer then if you have a problem they can sort it out.

Also have a pair of Monarch 3 in 8x36.
To be fair they have not done a lot of work. Have used them in snowing condition & rain. (Not Fiordland rain)
Been happy with them for the price point. Would buy again.
