Yep, another wee annoying feature of the EM – access to the rear action screw requires you to remove the scope. And of course in this case it is also obscured by the bolt.
OP should remove the front actions screws – allen cap screws on the underside.
And as long as he has 4 hands he should be able to hold the rear of the action as hard apart as possible from the stock and then try to remove the bolt.
Still very concerned here about the safety aspect.
Edit: All of above is cerap. Just took mine out of the stock. The rear screw at the back as seen from the top holds the trigger group. It could still be the cause of mischief though. Not sure how it would come loose though.
