    Nx8 4-32x50 opinions

G'day fellas, how does everyone rate the NX8's?
I have looked through one and thought it was a great bit kit but thought it might be a bit much for hunting.
I wouldn't imagine I would need the 32 power to shoot but is the clarity good enough on 32 to use to assess an animal at distance?
Also is the rectile bold enough to shoot at 4x power or would you need to use the illumination to do so?
    Would appreciate your thoughts
    Cheers G

32 power is a bonus as it's very well clear enough to use.
4 ower and illumination good to go.
You dont have to turn it up much to utilise it with out it though

Wait for them to be made in SFP

    Then they will be perfect.

So I bit the bullet and got one!
In my opinion the nx8 is worth every penny. I have owned several mid level scopes which have all had good attributes but so far this is the best yet. It is obvious from the build quality and how the scope functions that you get what you pay for!
I was nervous about FFP but as soon as I looked through it at the range I knew I was going to like this system.
    I have the MOAR model.
The thing I am most impressed with is the rectile in FFP, you can easily aim at small targets @450 yards from as low as 8x zoom.
I don't think there is anything about this unit that I dislike which is unusual for me as I am a bit of an optics slut!
Great compact scope with nice glass that is packed full of awesome features, happy as!

How do you find it compared to Fraser's Kahles in the background? A little different in terms of weight obviously and the Kahles being 34mm, but optics and turrets etc?

If it's not a first round hit you need to practice more

G'day mate, I am a big fan of Kahles, probably some of the best glass out there IMO. For me the NF wins given that it is lighter and more compact for hunting purposes.
If mainly target shooting then the Kahles would be the better option I think. The Mark5 would also be worth comparing to the Kahles.
