    Perhaps,
I have the 2.5x20 and 4x32 nx8 and the 7x35 atacr and shooting the atacr and the nx8 at over 1300m in fading light they were both pretty similar to my old eyes.
They both all were brighter and had better resolution than the big swaro, go figure.
The swaro owner had to agree after looking through the 4 optics with 3 others.
It was an apples to apples comparison.

You would think if NF optics were so good they would transfer the quality to their spotters and the like.
The 2 NF spotters TS-80s (iirc) that clients had and I looked thru and used a fair bit on hunts were pretty average compared to a Swaro, Zeiss or Leica of similar specifications.
    The TS-82s may be better.

Definitely not. Comparing them side by side in low light conditions there is no noticeable difference (to my eyes) in optical clarity - I'll try to get some photo's next week to demonstrate. The main difference is in the zero stop clutch where the ATACR zero stop is built like a tank in order to meet military standards such as Mil-Std 810 F and G - which includes a pretty outrageous drop test. The other key difference between the ATACR and NX8 is the parallax drum with the ATACR being more forgiving than the NX8. On the flip side, the 2.5-20 F1 NX8 is noticeably lighter than the F1 4-16 and 5-25 ATACRs; 802g vs 944g and 1066g.

There are plenty of people posting on other forums that seem to disagree with you but it is to a large extent subjective.

Definitely could be subjective. I'll aim to do an objective side by side comparison and post the photos.

What are? The 82s? Havent seen one in the flesh yet. If they are better than the 80 they will be hard to go past as they're cheaper from what I have seen than any upmarket euro glass.
Are there some 82s in NZ?

Yeah I was wrong on the price. Just seen them after a bit of a search for close to 7k. Did find one for 2.5k. Advertised as an 20-70x 82 but the description was for an 80 in 20-60 so it was confusing.

No need to be sorry, you are entitled to an opinion and I really don't have a dog in this fight.
