Slightly off topic, but I rang Digit to see if he had any more of the Punisher skull lowers coming in. He said yes but police ruling is that they can only go out as a complete rifle from now. So when the stock of lowers he has on hand is gone....... no more
Sounds like Police are making things up as they go.
Welcome to Sako club.
They were mad that too many people were converting stripped lowers into MSSA's. I guess the idea of people assembling rifles in their kitchens and garages scares them.
Time to buy a few lowers ASAP then.
(Sound of credit card taking a pounding in background).

So long as they're being registered and stored appropriately, then there's no problem. There's all kinds of loopholes in the legislation, and Police HQ (and Customs) seem to be trying to restrict the number of firearms out there by restricting supply, and therefore increasing the price of parts and complete firearms.
Yea but you see there is a problem. If you have people manufacturing MSSA's then our govt is failing to meet United nations goals and expectations, so I'm told.
I have applies for several permits over the last year or so, I have been asked every time to hand in equivalent parts, since it would be a "good look". Every time I have politely declined, informing them that I would rather have the money from selling the old parts to another law abiding citizen.
Hand ins for mags are a joke considering the NZ made versions now available.

I sorta laughed at them thinking they could afford to be picky.
