    Opinions of the Rossi Wizard?

Just had a look at one, It is a single shot break action with interchangeable barrels. Can be anything from a 22lr to a 308 to a 12g shotgun! Anyone had experience with these? Certainly look interesting. Rossi Wizard Blued/Wood 23" **Choose Calibre**

    Dammit!

Saw the "Rossi" heading and thought fuck yes, getting into this argument, am a Stoner and Lorenzo supporter, who'd thought it was just about a stupid gun!

Got one in .243 cal.Like it lots.
It's not a 500m tack driver but it's fine to 200m and great to carry around in the bush being shorter in length.Got a nice weight to it as well, good for those quick off hand shots in the tighter stuff.Good value for the money, not a flash finish to them but a reliable tool 👍

I have several Rossi single-shots - they all perform well enough for my purposes , all of them are suppressed and I dont recall any goat or deer that I have shot ever noticed that it was killed with a low-cost firearm.
Can you describevhoew you de cock it please?

Well you can either not cock it in the first place or if you have cocked it but the opportunity for a shot has past hold your thumb on the hammer pull trigger and quietly let hammer forward.
It is not like most bolt actions where the firing pin is protruding de cocked ,would be dangerous to close action if it was.
firing pin is shot forward against spring pressure and inertia hits primer.
