    Opticsplanet.com

Anyone dealt with opticsplanet.com and what are your experiences and the quality of service ?
Any issues with state department export restrictions even on standard sporting optics and mounts ?

I have bought a lot of things from them and found their service really good, they are very strict with anything firearms related and I believe wont send optics internationally, (correct me if I am wrong).
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

They might not be able to send brands because of distributor agreements/restrictions.

they are fine to deal with so long as you pick something that can be exported.. they won't tell you if it can't be.. they just tell you to add it to your cart and try.. if it can't you will have to wait 3 to 4 weeks for your money back

Last time I tried getting a Bushnell off them the said the couldn't export that and many other brands. Try but no guarantee's and if you tight on funds you'll be waiting for a refund for a week or two till they can reverse your card.

Brought an acog off them a few years ago. Got a vortex venom from them about 10 months ago, brownells said they wouldnt ship it so opticsplanet got the order. Got a holosun in transit from them right now.

My experience is that if it says itar product at the top of the page then they wont ship, maybe they will if you jump through hoops and do paper work but i avoid that. If it says government export restriction at the top of the page they will ship it, but can take 3-5 days longer to ship as they must have paperwork to do at their end, you dont have to do anything though.

If they dont ship then it can take up to 14 days for the refund to show in your account, but thats the banking system fucking you around, not opticsplanet and is the same from any shop overseas that reverses the transaction. There will be a wait for the funds to show up.

I have used Sportoptics several times as I found Opticsplanet too hard to deal with.

Used to use Optics planet. No problems.
wanted to buy a 1-4x20 this year and they would not. This it may be supplier restriction rather than ITR as it was not an illuminated scope

Got it from Rifle scope store just fine,
