    Options for mounting atlas bipod

What options are out there for mounting Atlas style bipods without having to drill holes and mount a rail on the stock?
I thought one of these sling stud adapters would be the go but although it works and seems solid enough, the bipod can't sit far enough back to sit in the locking slot (if that makes sense?) And it annoys the crap out of me. I'm not real keen on drilling holes in my stock as I have never really been a big fan of bipods and shoot better off a pack but have found with the atlas platform I can actually shoot pretty good compared to a Harris so there is a chance it could all just be a fad and I will be left with holes or a rail in my stock that I don't use.

Go on bite the bullet you only need to drill one hole and use the sling stub hole for the other one.
Get a cheap rail from hunting and theveing for about $20 as they are lower profile and work well

Just drill the hole you can always put another sling stud in it if you change your mind, I think I have a spare atlas rail here if you need one they're the best to use IMO

The obvious answer is to persevere and run the Harris instead.
I run both Atlas and Harris so I don’t have to perminantly attach the rail section to certain rifles.

Or just fill the hole with black silicon or clear with a little graphite mixed in it works a treat.

Don't mind a rail on the new one Greg.... Just not too sure about this one, it's unmolested so far!
