Ran a few numbers assuming sights are .5 inch above bore and as a carbine it's doing 2500 fps with L2A2 ammunition for a 300 m zero at 25m you should be 2 inches high, peaking at around 160m 9 and a half inches up.
The old "aim at his belt to hit him in the chest" appears quite appropriate. As it was military doctrine to assume 2 or 300 yds as close contact.
    If a 400m zero then it's about 3 1/2 inches high at 25.
5 inches seems a bit extreme but the sight height may be different and I'm only guessing the velocity.
If you want to zero it to shoot at close range then an adjustment to the front sight will be needed but that will make all the graduations on the ladder go buggerup.
