If I was in NZ I would be going to visit my AO in person to politely lean on him. But I'm guessing they are waiting for some person to take over managing all the AOs if that has not already happened.

Or you could get a lawyer involved, ether your own or one from one of the advocacy groups as the delay is unlikely to be justifiable under law.

I re-asked about a bayonet permit 3+ weeks ago and was told up to date and should now be 2 weeks, seems not.

I just put my permit in last night, hope it gets approved as I'm wanting to get a new stock for my AR that you can't get here
I've email Brownells to see if they can get one in, if they can't you can order them from Hogue USA

Also hope to pick up a new Mag as these http://www.brownells.com/magazines/r...711-99192.aspx are only 9.99 at the moment but if it takes something like 10 weeks to be approved then this deal will be long gone by then

Just received my import permit today.
Exactly 4 weeks to the day from dropping off application to receiving the permit in my letterbox.
The reasons I gave in the import permit for a pistol grip, Adjustable stock and a high capacity magazine was "Replace lost pistol grip, Adjustable Butt stock so to allow firearm to be stored out of view in a hunting backpack and allow firearm to be adjusted for a more comfortable fit. Large capacity magazine for goat culling"
Now I have to wait up to 5 months for the Hogue buttstock I've ordered from Brownells as its being done under a special order as they don't normally stock these.
