I ball my hand into a fist and ram that under the rear of the rifle, ain't dragging no shooting bag around with me hunting so would rather always "practice" as if I was in a hunting scenario that way I know how both myself and my rifle shoot in the real world, where it counts

I use one from TAB Gear.
    It's GREAT!
And according to the link earlier in this thread, the "Pros" think that they are great too.

Kittu litter works great, nice and solid like sand but is not as heavy, use it in ine of my rear bags.
I was worried about it getting wet as it is absorbent, but I left it outside for about a week once in my shooting paddock and it didn't appear effected at all my moisture (think it did get rained on).

Dunking it in a water trough is probably a different story though.

Fat fingers are not too good on the little phone screen. But I like your thinking.

I tend to do the same, but TR doesn't have much of a fist on the end of her noodle vermicelli arms.

There will be plenty of rear bags at the shoot, try before you buy. I’m sure anyone there will let you borrow one to try.

Don't think I could find a rusty one anywhere. You got one I can borrow?

I've had a thought. I'll cube a foam sleeping mat and stuff some of that in a bag.
