No Idea how it could happen. I wouldnt want to be an importer caught attempting to short cut the process though.

The US wholesale price for a GSG 522 with a pinned 10 round Mag and pinned collaseable stock is $US299. They hit NZ shops at $1499. They are a cheap gun sold at extortionate prices - hence my interest in what is happening with the "process".

I don't think I'd buy one anyway. Lookalike guns sort of offend me. Digit plz import MKE T94 carbines.

They're a little under 762 mm from factory, would need permanent muzzle devices added.

The MKE T94 SD is long enough to be NZ legal, I would get one of these in a instant,

I don't like the SD hand guard much, I'd rather have a straightup A2

Yeah, I know what you mean, I would prefer the a2 as well but either option would get me as close to a real mp5 as possible .

Can an MP5 be owned and used on a B-Cat? Easily imported? I've never seen one in civilian hands here.

I've been thinking of trying to get an MP5K on my B when I get the B. Shouldn't be any reason I couldn't have one.

Yeah Digit do it! do it!
I would love one. Considering a HK94 will break the bank I would be happy with a good clone of sorts.

The MP5 can only be imported on C due to it being select fire but the HK94 is a good to go semi (on E) There is something sexy about the MP5 family, its a pitty about the cost to own one in NZ.

Getting a K or baby K style HK94 in may require some neat marketing to pistol NZ lol but as pistol carbine conversion kits can now be used in Speed Steel matches possibly PNZ would allow short HK94s??

I would be very keen on one of those T94 carbines!
    Cheers
