PLEASE HELP! Carl Gustaf .270 win - Need to locate a magazine.

I've been given this Carl Gustuf .270 win from a friend who hasn't been hunting for over 10 years. The problem its its missing a Magazine and im having trouble locating one.
I've had the gun at my local H&F and they have had no luck. Would anyone know where I should look?

From what i believe they were brought out by Husqvarna and the
Husqvarna 270 win appears to look exactly the same

I can't for the life of me attach images on here but here's a link

He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

Here's a suggestion. Firstly I'm assuming this is a Gustav 2000 witht he 3 locking lugs on the bolt, I have a 1900 (two locking lugs) which appears real similar, they made the 1900 with a bottom metal and a mag, My mate lost my bottom metal so I fitted a 98 bottom to it till I made a carbon stock and fitted a tikka t3 setup to the bottom, now it feeds great with a Tikka mag. so Id look for a husqvarna 1640 bottom metal (The 98 improved version with the same footprint as the Gustav, that model has two options - the standard 98 and the Husky improved one) and fit that instead of searching for a mag. You could also use any 98 mauser bottom metal but you would need to trim the tip and of course you would end up with a gap under the sides at the front. I have one I modified if you're interested to try it Id sell it cheep as I now use the tikka mag.
Moa Hunter and norsk like this.

Sorry for the late reply, I've had the rifle with hunting and fishing with no luck.

How much would you want for the for the one you've modified? do you have any pictures?

Cant seem to load your image for some reason, so its a bit of a guess as to what you have. Husqvarna did make a detachable mag for some models, way back when. But I very much doubt you will ever see one cos theyre as rare was rocking horse shit. If you want to find the correct bottom metal to make it it in to a hinged floor plate type mag, its also very hard to source original Husky parts you will need to do a lot of asking around, or find a donor rifle. H&F are the wrong people to go to for repairs or parts or gun smithing - start talking to actual gunsmiths, they know where to find stuff, and how to fit it. If you could post a picture of the whole rifle, the action, the bolt, and a serial number, we might be able to point you in the right direction.

If your in Hamilton see Arthur Cleland when level 3 finishes, he will have a better idea than Hunting and Fleecing.

    Hopefully this works.

I've been put in touch with a few people with no real luck so far.

If you could find a picture of the net of an original magazine it would help.

Chicken lips or rocking horse shit, you choose. Best to try Graham Champion in Hawera (Bastman on TM) he has access to that part of the world ...... Sweden.
