    If you need a scraping tool to get it off a piece of junk brass does the trick.

    I just use an old brass bore brush after a lick of carbon remover

    I tried CLR the other day, it worked really well.
    It's gonna take a while to use the whole bottle though!

    Easiest trick is use a nickel antiseize on the muzzle threads and leave a thin wipe over the crown. That way the carbon just wipes off, and doesn't get into the threads between the suppressor and barrel as well.
