I wonder if there is not going to be a bit of a "Swarovski syndrome " with those rifles.ie. some people buy them and put their hard earned money in them, and use them just a few time during the year, and suddenly realise that they have 2 to 5 k of scope sitting in their safe doing petty much the same thing as a 1 to 2 k scope. And then selling them at 3/4 or 2/3 Rd or less of what they bought them for ?

How much would one will be willing to buy a second hand proof research rifle? To my eyes and my wallet ,even 8k would still be too much for such a rifle.

It weighs more more than a Sako Carbonlight so not exactly groundbreaking weight reduction.

Sure if you have money to burn buy one, but no amount of customness makes it worth that price.

They weight more than a standard tikka.
    Bet they shoot though.

No doubt they are beautiful rifles, but 20k is crazy stuff. They start at about $6k us, so pretty expensive even by us standards.

Edit: the summit is 5lb 11 so pretty light for a rifle with a 20 inch Barrel.

Still heavier than a bog standard mass-produced 20" Savage Lightweight

Probably a bit of a step up in subjective niceness though...

Have a summit in the safe at them moment for testing so will let you know what it weighs and how it goes over the break.

Do they come with a lifetime supply of custom cartridges and a guarantee of sub sub minute accuracy regardless of the trigger jerks skills level? At that price it should load and shute itself

55SIX have the savage ultra lite that has the proof carbon barrel. A more affordable way to get into proof ownership.
