It'll shoot it, definitely. Depends on how far one's shooting.

You could allways build a ar with a side charging upper and bolt

Yes your correct, they can! go.....

I'd go standard and not a special snowflake side charger, and definitely not an AR with an external piston system, build something up from decent parts to get exactly what you're after, good trigger, tube, charging handle

If you are running in open then you need this instead of open sights

JP - Sight Mounts with a red dot sight.

I've got a Daniel Defense 45 degree mount I don't need
