That's cool, I've been watching Vortex 1-6x24 Strike Eagle Riflescope (AR-BDC Reticle) SE-1624-1
Pricing seems to be set well, has anyone had any word on likely price in NZ

Over $850 is what I have seen so far.
Should be a good buy from the states and even better from OZ.
    I have pre-ordered one from your link.😆
Will pick it up in Oz when there with work to save a bit.

No one has them in stock yet by the looks.

Same scope apparently - they also have a distributor in Aus so may be cheaper than the vortex if heading that way.

Think there has been big demand for the strike eagle and Vortex are behind production. Reloaders were supposed to have some in April but only received 10% of their total Vortex order. They weren't sure on a price until they were landed but they are normally much cheaper than NZ guns on optics from past experience. See it has an export restriction on it too.
The Vortex Razors 1-6 do seem to be one of the top scopes for 3 gun by the yanks and a very nice scope, but they are quite big and heavy.
Obviously not really an issue if just set up for 3 gun, but if like a lot Kiwis hunt with same rifle the much lighter strike eagle looks a pretty good compromise

Id take res up on his offer on the z6. The vortex strike eagle was ok at the U.S. price and will sell well but its 1x is a bit average. The sig electros at a bit more were a big step up. The new trijicons accupowers could be worth a look too.

A J.P precision deserves something nice like a Z6, you don't buy a Ferrari then put cheap tires on it..

After buying a JP it would be very understandable if the toy fund waste low for a z6!

    I got me a U.S. Optics 1-8 that I'm hoping is a upgrade

You might want to be careful with that.

Australian Customs has apparently prosecuted people for exporting firearm accessories without the required paperwork, ie RGB (Restricted Goods Permit) or Defence Export Permit.

That is ANY accessories. Even slings.
