    Recoil lug adjustment.

I’m dropping a new REM 700 action and barrel into a CNC cut aluminium TSP X chassis. But I have a .5mm to 1mm misalignment between the recoil lug and the slot for it on the stock. Which prevents me from aligning and screwing in the action bolts. If the lug was at least .5mm forward of its position everything would probably fit nicely.

Gunsmith job? Or get the inletting in the stock recut by a friend to provide the extra space I need? Sending it all back is the fairest answer but with the worst outcome.

You payed for a cnc cut chassis with a a rem 700 inlet?
Send it back, if yours is a new un altered action and barrel they need to know it doesnt fit and adjust the program to suit or hundreds of non fitting chassis could be produced.

Thanks for the help. The SCSA guys are bending over backwards to help. I just wanted some second opinions from the brains trust.

Just this morning I watch Nathan Fosters tutorials for bedding, the rifle he bedded was a Rem 700 Sendero into a stock with Aluminium Chassis.
He relieved the Ali for a perfect bedding job. Worth watching

I believe that was my Sendero. Super accurate. Should have kept it (that list is too long).
