Watched a few videos and looks like they made lots of great little improvements more in line with modern rifles and cartridges, carbon stock and precision machined. Is it worth $4.8k? Not sure I guess it is if people are willing to pay that. Time will tell.

or just buy a decent gun form a manufacturer that is actually capable (and/or willing) to build a trigger that does not suck. Plenty of options out there.

Valid point no good buying a rifle and having to spend another $300-$600 to get a decent trigger the alpha has a timney from memory and that’ll be the $4800 version

I believe all new Remington's are now shipping with Timney triggers, even the M700 etc. The Alpha 1 has an Elite Hunter, a very good trigger. Plus I understand that the M700 have a new trigger from Timney too.

3 to 4 lb pull and not adjustable. Not quite what we would expect from Timney.

Its built to budget I suspect. To keep anything to a price point, you have to make choices in functionality. Given the trigger history Remington had, this is a good decision for the US market (the land of litigation).
