    Remington 7651p

Has anyone had a go at re-barelling a .223 Remington 7651p to a 300 black-out and how did it work out?

I known this may be a odd subject but, I need a rifle that is a simple conversion and cheap to run for chopper shooting.

This is the bullshit you have to contend with in Australia, because of the anti-gun lobby.

    Cheers Rob

why on earth would you want 300blk for chopper shooting? all that brass prep to fall out the side of the chopper after one shot?

What a nightmare having to deal with crazy rules.
If you are a contracted culler, I thought you 'could' then get the relevant license for a semi in Queensland?

Hey I'm keen to try anything in a 30cal conversion (long thick cane grass) this is the best conversion I could come up with fitted with a basket to catch the brass. The 7600 in 308win are not a option as they have been used with a lot of jamming issues.

    cheers rob

R93 could be of some help here? At least he has experience flying and shooting out of an eggbeater.
Fill him in on the rules(which he probably already knows) and see what he says.
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.

308Win One chambering to rule them all.

300blk is cool and all but loosing each piece of brass out the side of the chopper would piss me off to no end.

any options in 7.62x39 so its just factory bullets?
or just use a 3030 lever gun?

surely an expensive rebarrel to run unavilable rounds that you have to hand make each case then hand load to loose out the chopper.

    then again you are austrailian.......
