remington golden bullets, any good or are they junk?

Seems a few use them. Reviews don't appear good regarding accuracy.
Apparently they also leave old dust everywhere that gets all over your rifle.
Would like to hear others experiences.
Not sure if the lighter 36grain weight is a disadvantage compared to 40 grain bullets.

if your talking about the bulk green box stuff I have found it excellent in my winchester cooey semi, cycles reliably and very accurate (in my rifle) I can't comment on it's performance on small game but its plenty accurate in my rifle.

I'm pretty sure Dundee the man with the "thousand yard Sterling" is a fan of them and the bucket of bullets packaging

Recently finished a whole bucket and if you can get it cheap then it's fit for purpose. Yes weird gross dust. Yes some of them were random fliers on paper but we aren't talking about something that will cause you to miss a rabbit at 25 yards, just that it's enough to ruin your perfect group at 50 yards so still fit for purpose.
Cycled several different semi autos with no difficulties.
Not one dud or anything which is impressive for that many rounds.
They do what you expect them to, plink all day and put a smile on your face.

They are budget ammo - and quality control is low. Lots of loose and canted projectiles , but if your rifle likes them - they are fine.

Certainly more plinking ammo than serious target ammo.

Thats good to hear, from what I've been reading, the quality appears to be better in more recent years.
Might have had something to do with the company changing hands after they had beenvrun down by its previous owners?

They are fine for what they are designed for. They aren't even marketed as target ammo so don't expect higher quality target ammo performance and you'll be fine with them.

I was asking because of the gun city sale, I grabbed a bunch for plinking. Works out at about $60 per 500 which would be $6 per 50.
Hopefully they work OK on possums too.
If you have the old aussie made winchester power point, I could be interested in some.
