    Remington Sendero

    Thoughts on the 700 Sendero SF II , am looking to buy a new rifle which i can hit paper @ 1000 yards and hopefuly smack over animals @ 750. Also calibre choice ? Look forward to reading the replies. Cheers

    Have heard good things about their accuracy out of the box. Both the guys i know who have them have had the actions trued and titanium bedded. One is running a 300win mag and the other a 7mm rem ultra mag. Both shot about the same on paper at 200m when i was with them, and they use them on animals and are bloody successful. Im probably not the best to talk about caliber choices, as i hunt with a 270 and apparently that is sacrilegious in this forum
    don't think you would go wrong with the rifle in any case.

    really accurate but bloody heavy. mine had a fucked action so after the second attempt to repair it never came back.

    Cheers for that mate but .338 is a bit big for me and at 4.5k i would rather spend a little extra and go new as i can grab the bare rifle for around 2.6k ish, cheers
