Maybe there are people among us that are happy to give that information and people happy not too.

I don't see them going "oh you have xyz number of guns you must get rid of abc number to be compliant " otherwise there would have been a recommendation for this in the law and order thing...... Unless I missed it??

Hamish that is exactly where they are wanting to go. In a number of European countires you can only own a small number of rifles ie 3 or 4. You also cannot own multipiles of a calibre, ie only one 7 08. You have to be able to justify the use like having written permission from a farmer to hunt their land. In Britain your ammo is licensed as well. There is a maximum number of rounds you can buy at one time and a maximum number you can have in your possession.
You are being reasonable, but Police HQ is not, they are trying to chip away at firearms laws and slowly reduce your legal rights to own and use firearms.

Being an older guy I have already seen our "freedoms" eaten away. Dont forget a few years ago, one party thought it would be a good idea to hold all firearms in arsenals and you booked them in and out!! I think its on their mind!!

Do you reckon they will use this to justify the separation of the A category i.e. shotguns become something separate to bolt action?
