Should probably put some nice leupold or conetrols on it also but the talleys are just so easy haha
A classic American gun deserves an American scope.

First look at it and I was wondering if you had put up the wrong picture, maybe it's a 'bad' photo but that would be one of the best looking pre-64 win's I've seen in NZ. I honestly think you don't really need to take it in anywhere, what you are wanting is not hard to achieve yourself.

Any dinks in the timber, just carefully steam to raise the grain and then carefully buff back and re-oil the wood work. A fine light non-gumming oil thinned with a penetrating product (we used to use BLO and turps 50:50 on old military woodwork but there is better stuff out now) will make the wood look like new. Metal work, a small pinch of 0000 grade steel wool soaked in light oil to remove any corrosion spots and slowly go over everything with chemical bluing. I know everyone hates on chemical blue products but with patience and time they will match existing blued finishes and look pretty good as well. The secret is clean steel, apply the blue and leave, buff back and clean and then reapply until you have the depth of colour you want.
