Iv screwed a centerfire supp onto a .22lr to see if there is a point of diminishing return and yea the difference between that and the normal type is very very little
its the air getting pushed out of the way by the bullet that causes alot of the noise

the parker hale type are good/best compromise for size and weight Iv found and the mae are great too, just costly

no matter how good the silencer is at controlling the muzzle blast if you shoot ammo that it supersonic you will make noise as the projectile hits the sound barrier.

I've got a Hushpower Braveheart. First time I used it with subs, thought I had a misfire as it was so quiet. No problems with it. Not much else to say.

volume wins for cans in .22 in my my experiance. Best .22lr can I have is a .22 mag can made by gunwork out of there maximus sized tubing and longer than normal. rather heavey and long though so only have one and use gunworks normal .22mag cans on most stuff

I'm in the market for one soon. I'd only really thought about a DPT or Gunworks unit. The threading job and postage will almost cost as much as the can haha.

Now what barrel length

Just to add another to the mix... I have a Silenz (now Kaimai Rifle Suppressors (Dean Maisey)) 22 Rimfire mono core one. Used on a 22lr and 17hmr, it does a good job. Only compared next to a Hardy one and at least to my ears the Silenz was more effective for the 17 HMR. Couple 1000 rounds of 17HMR through it and gave it a clean the other day. the 17 is a filthy little *&^%

It appears there may be little to gain from replacing the Unique moderator. Sounds like the only advantage of the mono core suppressors is the increase in internal volume due to their larger diameter, and not because of of any hi tech wizardry or magic of core design?
As with the centre fire suppressors there is always a trade off, of weight and length vs level of suppression. I'd be interested in trying one of the soft drink bottle adaptors, can't get much lighter than those!

In .22 LR rifle use our ECO and DUAL suppressor models are pretty much on the same level, with sub sonic ammo around c. 111-114 dB = as quiet as you can really get.

In .22 LR pistol use the DUAL is still quieter than the ECO.

The ECO being lighter and easier to clean

Beat me to it. If i was going to replace my gunworks suppressor ASE was where i was going. I have been hearing really good things about the ASE 22LR suppressor... If only i could justify a new suppressor!

to a point it does, but the other one in movies was a car oil filter which i pretty solid fibre so no real volume

I’ve got a Gunworks and a DPT. Side by side, on different rifles but same barrel length, with the same ammo, there’s zero difference between them with CCI Standard Velocity (subsonic). But step up to the supersonic Stinger, and the Gunworks wins.

Not massively, but there is a difference.
