19mm at the top of the dove tail knotch on the 601 and 17mm at the bottom

Anyone suggest Sako bases. Fairly sure you can tell whether they are metric or inch from number stamped on foot of ring.

Stainless bases are Tasco (made by an Ozzie crowd I think - edit, Lynx as per Smithy). If flat, A Bolt, if not probably Rem 700?

@Kiwi.bloke. Sent email to Lynx with the number my old eyes found stamped on base. 1856D. Couldn't see it on their web site. no reply yet. I'll check Tasco. Bases are slightly concave. Could be Rem 700.

Just checked, don't appear to be Tasco.
