    Ring height help

Who makes a ring which fits 16mm dovetail (CZ 527) that fits 1" scope but the ring height is say 5-6mm?

Closest I can find is this
1" CZ Centerfire 527 (for Dovetail Setup) - Talley Manufacturing
    0.5" height though.

Don't you need a reasonable height to clear the bolt handle lift.

@jakewire Yeah I've seen those but high as.... You do unless you introduce a grinder to the bolt.

Would it work if I bought some Leupold weaver mount rings and took out the little aluminum bar?

    PM'd

Does anyone know if you can take out the recoil lug on these and fit them to a 16mm dovetail?
http://www.guncity.com/warne-weaver-...e-rings-220904 Oh and reloaders has it for 1/2 the price!

Edit: yep so that little lug can be removed, next question does it fit 16mm dove tail?

On mine I carefully filed the bolt handle right down myself (and then had it professionally reblued). I sourced a set of conetrol bases from Richard Wilhems and then used a super low set of conetrol rings which I had lying about. It is now very low - around 7mm from dovetail to scope (much lower than Warnes which is what I previously had) - basically just the height of the base. Also cut the magazine down (mine is 7.62x39) and refitted the existing floor plate - although it protrudes a little (it needs to be because of the release lever), it is now very comfortable to carry.

A couple of terrible photos taken in poor light on my phone are below.. you will get the idea.

You can buy the beautifully made Australian Hilver rings direct that are made specifically for the Brno 16mm dovetail. I use the medium and low on my Brno Model 1 and Brno 581 Auto. BRNO Ringmounts ZKM611 and Early Model 1 and CZ 527 16mm dovetail

I have a spare set of the 1" low, used but in excellent condition, $75.

I also have a set of CZ 1" factory rings for 16mm dovetails that are quite high. Lug has been removed, as new, cost $120, sell $75.
