I'm interested to hear that you have no problems getting the 310 gn bullets to work in these rifles .Thats good to hear from my point of view because I want to go as heavy as I can .What sort of accurracy are you getting ( These things aren't Benchrest rifles ) and may I ask why you have gone to a slower speed of 780 fps ( is it a accurracy or sound reason ) .
Any advice on loads etc would be greatly received .

    Hi Ken,
Accuracy is the reason Im only doing the 780fps with the 310gr cast bullets. It will shoot about 1-1 1/2 inch at 50 mts with the 310`s just cast from wheel weights and not sized. Once over the 780 fps the groups start to widen but even at 780 it seems to do the job as the photo tells. Got a stag at about 120-130 mts a few weeks back though the hold over was considerable. Slug still went through.

My Rossi 44 mag shoots 1.25" groups at 100 yds with 9 gr Unique 300 gr Hornady XTP at 1030fps. 16 in barrel MAE supressor.Bullet impact makes more noise than the actual shot most times.
    Took this guy at 80yds.

    Awesome John M

I have just finished developing a load for my 16" Model 92 Rossi.

    13grs HS6, 300gr Hornady XTP, MV 1290fps.

Shot a Goat with this load at about 60m .... kinda felt sorry for it afterwards.

I'm looking forward to taking my first stag up close and personal with it in a week or so.

    Cheers
    Pete
