I don't know on this one I'm torn..

On the one hand I waited and bought a fantastic wood rem 700 with optics that shoots factory sub MOA all day long... So would suggest this if the issue is $ for value I'd say wait... and watch.

However I've also put my name on a wait list for a Ruger American in 300 blackout when they arrive early in the new year. But this is going to be my tight bush gun hence synthetic over wood I like the idea of the v block for accuracy, and reviews tend to bear this out and the pre turned barrel for a supressor and a bit of work on the trigger to lighten down a tad. I know I can then throw big 225 gr subs and super it with 112 or 125 gr quite happily.

Going with this and swapping a optic to put a 3-9 leopold on this will free up additional funds for either a Sightron or Vortex scope for my safe queen as a result. Hopefully this should finish my current need to cover things..... For now...

went into guncity today and they had a ruger 223 in stock so I put a deposit down on it and its off to the gunsmith to get shortened to 20inches and a 14x1 thread put on the end and I will pay remainder and pick it up when it comes back

Good choice I think. I got the American in hmr and I like it so much I'm buying the 223 as well. The marksman trigger does it for me

keen to hear to. I'm torn between the predator and the stainless in 223 but haven't quite scraped all the coin together so i have a week or two to think about it

it shoots well I haven't had it at 100yet grass on the farm to long cant see that far lol but id say it will be sub moa as its one hole grouping with 55gn fed blue box at 50m trigger is good I took advantage of the adjustable trigger stock is flimsy but you'll get over that I will put it in a Boyed's eventually anyway I hate plastic bolt is good and smooth the only thing ive found with thr rifle well mine anyway is you cant have any weight in the bottom of the mag while feeding a round as it pushes the mag up more than it should be and jams so keep your hand forward of the mag while closing the bolt and its fine them move your hand back if need be.. that may be fixable not sure

Here it is, camera on my phone is a bit rubbish.

The scope is absolutely amazing for the price! I watched birds in the garden with it last night as the light was fading whilst playing with Adjustable objective. I can see why vortex is popular at the moment.

Yes the crossfire 2 is excellent I use it on my CZ .22lr for indoor. I've been looking at a PST 6-24x50 for my big girl or sightron and to be honest it feels like a coin toss the glass is that good...

Be interested to see what you think of the American after you've had sme time to work with her...
