I used to have a mini 14 with a helluva light trigger that would often let 2 or 3 go in rapid succession if it wasnt held tightly. I let a chick have a go once and it emptied the 5 shot in about 1sec flat. All I can think was the recoil would bounce the rifle back off the shoulder into the trigger finger.
Got rid of it after a while.
Thats a cool concept though.
Just wounder if it's all legal beagle too.

After all it's still semi auto and your finger is activating the trigger each time.
Just a thought?
Yea but your finger is not moving so its actually the guns mechanism causing the gun to fire automatically???
Yea tough subject I reckon, would be interesting to show the AO the clip and see what they reckon.
It says legal refering to stateside laws, NZ law I dunno
Interpratation of one officer is all you need to get trouble.
at least you can afford to run a 22 auto tho,
Bumpfiring, can do it with most semis.
Trust the dog.........................................ALWAYS Trust the dog!!
Could be argued that the stock is "telescopic" because there's movement between it and the rear of the receiver. That would render it an MSSA currently. I think the Act defines full-auto as being able to discharge more than one round for a single trigger activation so it sneaks out of that. Wouldn't bother trying to test the act though, it's quite obvious what the device is for.
10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.
can be done and specifically set up to do are two ends of the scale.
Im just looking at it as if I was a police officer that didnt know much about firearms
"he can make that fully auto" comes to mind.
I look at that stock and think, its a gun part that makes that 22 fully auto. its just not the trigger mech.....
I recon you'd be skating on thin ice with the AO or any sworn Police Officer
But I believe you'd win the legal argument that it is not a full auto Firearm.
Not that I would be tempted to be the test case but a good discussion point none the less.
And yes it can be done and it can be copied very easily.
A couple of hours in AutoCAD a few minutes on the 3D Printer or even an afternoon on the Mill, would see you loading mags for way longer than you'd spend shooting that's for sure.
Not mention the sore thumb and the dent in the back balance, even shooting .22rounds, as it seems to work better with CCI mini mags rather than bulk buy ammo.
