yes $1500 now if it was a .308 Forester mint some figure to wood yes maybe $1800-$2000 and a mint Vixen in .222 well $2200-$2500 but these are heavy and some of these full wood actually dont shoot that well lol but nice I would love it just cant justify it

Overseas that's true, and as it should be. I have two of them at the moment. But thats everywhere except bloody NZ. A .30-06 can be a hard sell here.

I had one in .308, which I feel is more desirable in the particular rifle. I also had an 85 fullstock in 7-08. The older one was far nicer in terms of balance and feel, also a full pound lighter than the modern 85. Can’t recall what I paid for it, or what I sold it for, but I think it was close to $2k. To the right person who just has to have one, it may be worth $2500, but its general value lies somewhere between $1500 and $2000 in my opinion.

I am in Canada again, and that would sell up here for an easy 2250 cad, but 3006 is the most popular cal, might have something to do with bigger game, that might stomp or chew on you.
Cant speak for the NZ market, but as a Sako man, I would be in the $1750-1850,

It’s only special if you want one, otherwise it’s a 4x2 with a tube through the middle of it.

Im told that 3006 and 7x64 and the two standard mid range cartridges in Europe.
So, as far as collectability it would be a classic piece.
Bonus is the ammo is easy to get in NZ including European makes.

This time I think Micky Duck has it - no rifles worth souring a mate. Gently suss out what hed like and give him a coule of hundred more. Maybe take a few ammo or brass off him to so he saves face and feels hes been generous too.
Find an older Kahles or Zeiss to go on it and he will be pleased hes passed it on. A new Swaro 3-9 would really flatter it.
