I'm not aware of them being calibre/cartridge specific. I didn't change the setting for the longer shots, haven't quantified how much difference there is between the settings yet. Plan to do that when I get my new front sight blade and I can shoot more repeatable groups.

Then it wouldn't work with iron sights, which are a must for my work gun, cos I'm sick of worrying about the scope when a helicopter pilot drops my rifle on rocks/concrete pad/whatever

Lucky you never flew with me.
I would use your barrel as a wedge to fit all the extra shit you fellas cart into the belly pod😆

Id be more concerned about the irons being bumped than a decent scope, and yep I have mistreated both plenty.

I've shot from them, been ferried by them, been biffed out of them and jumped out of them and landed on my head. But never recall knocking my 'scope out.

But, I still think that your peep sight concept is very cool. It still doesn't stop you from having a little scope on it though, that you can take off when the nasty R93 type man damages it.

Had a hunter blame me for missing a stag of a lifetime because of the way I loaded his rifle into the machine once.

Since then I always left the guns till last and let them load them in or hold them. Unless they bring them down in one of those huge, won't even fit in a Chinook boxes.

Never have I seen a pilot mistreat a rifle.

Iron sights are just as practically accurate as a scope anyway

And makes a good argument that short barrels and mufflers are not practical

'Mufflers' are great ay @BRADS, you can shoot a deer and then TRY and shoot some more deer 330y away that haven't cared about the first shot, miss and still have the opportunity to miss again because they have no idea where it's coming from

Still think barrel needs painting though gimp.

You can do that without muffelers too....hey sometimes they even run straight towards you making it even harder to miss.
Dunno why suppressor users always quote these instances, they happen just as much if not more often unmuffeled and even braked.

Because we have to try justify it to ourselves haha.

I don't have enough experience with deer but have noticed a big difference when culling turkey's
