Excellent point VC. I'd make a little function test list and go through that on each rifle.

Thanks guys
I am look stupid after you read this:
I purchased the Sako A7 cambered in 7mm Mag instead of 08 or 270.. Barrel length 24 7/8 "
I like the feel of it, its light and ammo is reasonably priced.
Will be heading to range this afternoon to sight in and see how it shoots the MOA group.
Will post the details here this evening..

A suppressor may be better if you aren't doing long range shooting where you have time to put on hearing protection.

Try it first, wear ear protection you might think its just a push
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.
308Win One chambering to rule them all.
Nice.
Def get a better recoil pad then!
You'll want to get in to handloading to get the best out of the 7mm Rem Mag, as that 140gn factory ammo is pretty average.
Welcome to Sako club.
That's a good buy mate. Keep us posted!

Welcome to Sako club.
I concur with another post - don't be fooled into thinking a Sako A7 is a "real" Sako ... you are simply paying for the name on a cheap mass produced firearm. Seriously spend time with any firearm before purchasing it and do consider 2nd hand as there are always deals to be had. As for the 7-08 v .270 ... if you want the additional distance for something like thar in the alps then go the .270 but they are a cannon. Both will kill deer no worries. Keep safe in the hills.
