    I think it cost $250 which you shouldn't need to do on a rifle of that cost but mine used to look like crap.
    It still has a rubber feel maybe not a soft as the factory but is holding up well so far.

    No, it has a finish similar to a very light sand paper. Don’t ask me how it is applied, but it is a nice finish.
