Swaroski and sister company kahles, being Austrian are probably better to deal with than Schmitt and bender and
Zeiss.

Must be seeing ok of im winning comps and putting meat in the freezer
Had a reply from SnB. Can't change the price of the shipping, its going to cost 200 euros using UPS, even though on the UPS website I got quoted 72 euros.
Apparently the PMii only has a 2 year warranty... Yeah, that's great for a 5k scope. That goes to show their confidence in their own work.
This has been the worst warranty experience. A warning to all who considers SnB. Just buy a nightforce.
How much does it cost to have a repaired Swaro / Kahles / Zeiss returned ? That will show if S&B are telling porkies about freight
Where did you send the Scope?
You saying "VAT" makes me think the UK, Austria and Germany have MwSt.
This gets refunded when you have landed the product or paid your countries local Vat rate if in the EU.
The $200 quoted sounds reasonable if it's tracked and insured.

and Nightforce is an Australian company, so I like to support our neighbors.[/QUOTE]
You sure about that?? Pretty sure NF is an American brand...

NF was founded in Australia by a dentist.
When I bought my first NF scope was when the Americans took over manufacture iirc. Prior to that they were mainly into spotlights. Liteforce.

Nightforce is a subsidiary of liteforce Australia, hq still listed in Australia but do you call it an Australian company when the assembly/manufacturing is in the US?

By that reasoning my older NXS which was fully Japanese manufactured and assembled made NF at the time a Japanese company?
Currently the Yanks claim it as an American company. Maybe a bit like the origin of Pavlova.....

At the end of the day,if you buy a 10 year old second hand product of unknown providence, don't whine if the manufacturer charges you to repair it?
