School me on the 7mm Blaser Mag cartridge

Anybody able to school me on the 7mm Blaser Mag cartridge? Looks like a well balanced round, not too overbore, enough capacity to drive 180's at good speeds. What's reamer, brass, die availability like?

I have built a few now, goes great, punches well above its weight, only just behind the 28 Nosler with around 10 grains less powder.

Great Norma brass is easy to get, the dies are more expensive than normal.

    I have 6.5-7mm Blaser & 7mm Blaser reamers

    Greg,
Do you reckon a 22" barrel length would compromise velocity too much or better served with a 26" + length?

There is always a compromise but my 24" test rifle went very well with the right powder, so 22 might be surprising.

Accuracy wasn't up to much, but it wouldn't shoot when it was 28" either.

I need to section the barrel to see if it has the same issue as my Carbon one from the same local manufacturer.....

Blackwatch might have some info on one....

I have the .300 Blaser built on a Ruger M77, pops 180g AB down range at a smidge over 3000fps from a 25" barrel, not a hot load but very accurate with 3 rnds fitting into what looks like 2 holes...

As A side it's for sale as I don't get to use it, have the dies new brass, used brass and load info, PM me if you like to know more @LJP
