If it works for you both- most excellent. I'd expect it to be very good, he really looks after his gear and has only used it target shooting on ranges and a couple of Gillies shooting comps.

I would have bought it if I could afford it. I've got a contract ending in December so bought a cheaper sightron instead.
Doesn't stop him keep tempting me with it though!

If you could spend a bit more say 1.5k , then I would say look at the Bushy LRHS in 3-12x44 or the bigger one , the glass is great and adjustments very nice as well , I use the 3-12 on my 22 Hornet , and its my go too rifle for the farm .
