    Yeah will try some sort of clamp set up first.
    Nah mates using a 300wsm. Not much difference from a 140ab vs 208 amax

    The other issue that happens more than people realise is that the click values can vary in different sections of the adjustment range ie 0-5 moa is perfect but from 5-10 moa is way out then 15-20 moa is back to perfect. Relevant especially for those shooting .270's who need maximum travel adjustment

    If you can't be arsed and/or want to know for sure what the exact click values are you could box up the scope and send it to someone who is setup to check it properly in a clamp against a grid? You dont need to send the rifle, just the scope.

    I personally dont see any real value in shooting a box test but if all you want to do is establish if there is actually a problem your setup will work. It just wont tell you what the problem is.

    Max adjustment? Its only good for 50 yards!!
    Know anyone that does it??

    Practise i guess. Happy that i hit centre gong at 580 yards with 15 mph yesterday il get there but i dont think my 270 has long left with me. 300 win mag is on the cards
