For me the delta titanium hd 4-24 almost gets it, the illuminated reticle with center dot is good and the low light performance isn't bad for its price range, to make it tops for me though would be a 2-18 power range and a locking elevation turret, keep the capped widage, this would be the all rounder for the average kiwi. Bush low mag to distance dial me in. I know all the luepold lovers out there will say we have it but not sub 2k,

If you are thinking of the rockslide guy I think just about all scopes failed aside from swafa , nightforce and some trijicon. There's a significant amount of skepticism from many with his testing. There is also a thread on long range only claiming March , swaro and others also consistently failed to hold zero.

Iv had a couple of the older Vortex HDLH for several years now with no issues and a 3-15 LHT for a couple, its going well. .
Hmm, that's weird. I was positive it was a razor, but on checking I can't find any reference too 4-16 for that model, so you are probably correct.
    Unsophisticated... AF!

Gimp, didn't you have a Leupold Mk something that didn't track vertically from new?
Tract Toric 2.5-15. Dropped off ute tail gate onto hard gravel. Elevation turret first with magazine facing up. Was sighted in 1.5” high and dead on for windage. Today:

Lots of variables, but still a poi shift.
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing, and right-doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.

Lots of variables, but still a poi shift. Discount bottom group hold - different projectile but still usually shoots into the same 1” group as the top 2.

Ladder test on Scope showed at 10 Mrad scope was 2.5 clicks off, or 25mm under the mark 10 Mrad. 10 Mrad gets me 600 meters zero which is aways past hunting with a 223.

2.5% ? That's quite high error - but depending on your test methodology you may have a lot of noise anyway - so it could be not quite so bad

As long as it is repeatable, it is not that big of an issue.

Definitely a lot of variables, so not necessarily he scope.

Definitely puts into perspective the benefits of drop testing/reliability testing. It's not that far fetched to drop your rifle in the feild, and knowing it'll stay zeroed is a nice piece of mind.

Of course any deer at 100yarda would still be dead, but with more and more people pushing shooting distances (often with smaller cartridges) all these errors add up.
    Tahr and whanahuia like this.

Just realised my scope is calibrated at .097 a click. Strelok automatically set at .100 so there is my 25/30 mm over 10 mrad, so scope is tracking well & returns to zero.
