Really nice Ruger Mk1 .270. wasn't the most accurate, but it was my first hunting centrefire and was dad's before, so high in sentimental value.

Hunting is not a hobby.....its an addiction
It’s the sentimental value that is the worst part
I dont sell guns, too scared I will regret it. But way back in the day I have sold 2 of my rifles, one was a really nice VZ33, fully sporterised, lightweight and accurate. Sold it to buy an engagement ring - never do that again! And the second was very nice custom 25.06 given to me by a good friend. Sold it to fund a naughty weekend in Sydney - never do that again either!
My mk1 maroon chopper,my 1100 Katana,a 512 Brno and an old 4x nightforce to my brother,my Fathers Daimler and a lovely white with red leather mk1 xj6.But then again they are only things.
Mine is my VF 500 and a remington CDLSF 280 LTD , but then that the choices we make . I wonder should i sell my Leupold mk4 ?
I wish I had the money at the time to buy the 1895 303 Winchestor lever gun I sold on behalf a while back.
Had one of the ex police vixens. One of the AAA grade ones. Superb rifle. Sold it cause it was to nice to take in the bush.
Bought a new Brno 22 in about 1967 - but couldn’t reload fast enough to get the rabbit numbers - so went back to a semi Unique - the Brno is the one rifle I always regret selling
Yeah, I'll be honest mate, the chance of that coming up on the market is pretty slim, it's a cracker rifle and I scored an H profile 303 barrel with mint rifling recently so the plan is to have the h barrel profiled to match the original winchester profile, install it and eliminate the slop in the front handguards, have already procured a saddle ring and mounting hardware and all I need to find is some original irons and she'll be complete and ready for re finishing.
sold my first rifle a remington single shot .22lr...I had customised (bubbad) the stock a little to make pistol grip fit hand better by removing just a little wood...it was very very accurate even though bore didnt look that flash and you had to keep action oiled or the unburnt powder would touch off every couple of hundy rounds.shot hundreds of rabbits and possums ,close to a hundred head shot goats a few bailed pigs and even a wallaby with it.
didnt use it as had a norinco bolt with suppressor....now after trying subsonic rounds through rifle without suppressor Im really kicking myself...on brighter note Ive just brought back that first norinco LOL and sold my suppressed one LOL. round and round we go.
I have the opposite problem in that I don't form any sentimental attachment to nearly anything.
I have brought and sold rifles, cars , motorbikes over the years with no heavy heart or regrets, probably the one that shocked my wife and friends is after 10 yrs plus of martial arts I stopped training. Got my Gi and belt and burn't them , stuff just doesn't mean
anything to me. If I'am not using it then it's surplus shit in my life, I still have the memories and enjoyed the object or experience but that's it.
Have I sold or destroyed things I shouldn't have yes probably , do I regret it no .
Husqvarna 640 in 9.3x62, the rifle was absolutely mint. Really shouldn't have sold that one.
