A semi-automatic rifle for the next hunting season

    Hello fellow forum members!

I have decided to buy a semi-automatic rifle for the next hunting season. I'm going to hunt mainly wild boar, deer, fallow deer, and roe deer. I am considering between Benelli Argo and Merkel SR1, both in 308WIN caliber.
For the chosen semi-automatic I was thinking about a Delta MultiDot HD 36 collimator. The set would be used strictly only for group hunting.

I would appreciate your help in choosing and your opinions.

    Thank you and best regards.
I can wholeheartedly recommend roof restoration Mordialloc!

Where about as from overseas are you posting from?
Welcome, no personal experience with those types you’ve listed.
Semi automatics were recently prohibited here in New Zealand and everyone is understandably still very sore about it.

The link in his signature block is to an Australian company. It's a troll post.

He might be one of those Australia exports that will know just where to buy such a gun.

His avatar location indicates Central / West Germany. Good on you for taking the man at face value. We delude ourselves if we think that all people on the other side of the world know (much less care) about what happened here in New Zealand in the aftermath of 15 March 2019.

Some of you guys need a swift kick up the ass

If he is hunting roe deer then he clearly isn't talking about the great down under.

    Greetings All,
From the photo Horst seems to be having a good laugh about something. Maybe it is us. Perhaps his hunting buddy got his lederhosen caught in a barbed wire fence. Time will tell.
    Regards Grandpamac.
