    Sending .22 chassis to Australia

    Team,

    Just tying to nail down the process in regards to sending approved rifle parts to Australia.

    This is what one of the lads wants to order;

    https://55six.co.nz/enoch-industries...sis-for-10-22/

    I am just playing the middle man. Ken has said there are no problems forwarding products to Australia. Its just not something they have time for.

    I understand this part for Australia - and have forwarded this info on to ol mate:

    The info I have pulled up so far in regards to our end has been pretty vague. Mostly jargon around posting internally...is it similar to send items over seas?

    Can someone please provide me some clarity in regards to the correct process/guidelines?

    Pretty sure folders are prohibited in Australia, maybe some variation state to state.

    Assuming that the Enoch Industries chassis is not dissimilar in the eyes of the law from the Ruger 10 /22, ( and I'm not familiar with either) then this comment on an Australia gun web site similar to ours, may clarify the matter. And I think the licence required varies from State to State. Worse, if that is possible, an here

    "......Unless you are a professional pest controller or a primary producer farmer , forget about owning a Ruger 10/22 legally.However if you go through the exhausting process of joining a pistol club , it is possible to get a Category H license and obtain after much money , time and effort a Ruger Charger , which is a Ruger 10/22 with a cut down barrel and no buttstock , this however can only be fired on an authorised club range........."
