    Precisionshooter.co.nz is me.

If you are after some bags let me know - I have just put a new order through and can add some more in.

If you get the order in before Friday use 'nzhunt' as a coupon for free shipping anywhere in the country. ($43 total to you).

I have some more of his Cheek Rests, Shooting Pads and Slings on the way as well.

Ah shit, I wish I'd read that twenty minutes ago, oh well.
$5 post is quite reasonable anyway.

@mrs ebf made me one from scratch using ripstop nylon, thin webbing handles and plastic bb gun pellets as a filler. its oblong , maybe 3 in x 5 in ... with a small carabiner to clip it to your belt.

Its the best bit of kit ... thanks @Mrs ebf ...

    ... and @ebf thats one great chica you're married to bro ... she's a keeper !!!

Well - thanks lads - between yourselves and a random couple of orders yesterday all of mine are gone.

I have some more due in a couple (3) weeks away - so the voucher will still be valid for pre orders if you are interested.

    Thanks again!

I started with a Potektor leather rear bag with black sand fill - heavy and very stable made for great shooting. It needed to be set up reasonable level though and if not straight at the target could cause recoil problems - because of this I felt it wasn't ideal for field use. I moved onto a home made bag with foam balls and black sand - the foam gave it a bit of flex while the sand allowed for smooth motion and gave it weight for stability. I didn't like this either (was shit when it got wet) and soon shifted to BB pellets. BB pellets worked well but then I found the bag shape about 4"x5"x1.5" wasn't as usable as I wanted. I stuck with this bag and the protector bag for a while and then I brought a TAB Gear rear bag along with another couple of items I got off them. I have been very impressed with the TAB Gear bag, good shape, good amount of fill and good fill density/texture, good for a fore end support off barricades and for adding height to a day pack as well without being too heavy.

I have since brought one of the larger TAB Gear rear bags and this one being larger is more useful when shooting from a less than ideal "tall" prone position such as may be required in one of the field target matches. Depending on the match I will choose which rear bag to take with me.

I have had similar experiences Gillie.

I have a taller TAB and have a Wiebad Tod Tac Bag.

I am trying to get the TAB/Wiebad guys to send some down in bulk - but the guys in the US sometimes seem to be a little slow to respond. Failing that, I will just get some made up in bulk locally.

Those strong side elbow pads/bags are a step too far in my mind. They are not something I can see anyone carrying hunting and i think they are mainly the result of competitors trying to game stages at "tactical" matches. Because I wouldn't carry one hunting, I won't bother with one in competition and I don't set competitions such that they would be a significant advantage. All personal preference of course.

I also shoot IPSC - so get to see guys trying to 'game' at every opportunity.

Agreed - impractical - except for tactical matches (which I hope to encourage more of up here).
