My budget (once I sell my car) is around $1500, for the rifle and silencer. I already have a vortex diamondback scope and rings. If I spend less on the rifle I can try get a rangefinder as well.
The houge stock is fine, they are just a bit flexible in the forend. This is common across every single rifle in that price point. Only really becomes an issue shooting off a bipod, and even then at most hunting ranges it's not a big deal. If your handy you can bed and stiffen the forend

you can buy a hell of a lot of rifle for $1150 and have enough left over for a brand spanking new suppressor...either a DPT or gunworks spartan..... Ive got short and long barrelled rifles as am a bush hobbit at heart, the longer barrels nice in the open country and the extra velocity SHOULD help. no way would I spend that amount of dosh on a new rifle when you see some of the awesome ones that come up 2nd hand on here....dont sell a longer action cartridge short (pun intended) the mighty dirty06 or poohseventy will do anything the 7mm/08 will do and more....the factory ammo is good and nothing will walk away if you do your part. wood and blue is a real riflemans rifle.....they just look right and giving them some love with an oily rag is part of the whole "thing".....that reads far soppier than intended but I cant phrase it better.
