Ive only owned four Rugers ( always wanted a paddle 22lr but stupidly never brought one new in the early 90's )

    Loved this 44 / 77 shot well even with it's 10lb trigger

This was an awesome 44 Carbine, regretfully sold it prior to 2018 so hopefully it didn't go through old Horse face's gun crusher

Is that down at the green hollows gun club?

Yup, upgraded the range to include 2 rifle ranges about 10 years ago. Even got them certified.

What did they go for new? I picked this one up from H&F Warkworth a month or so ago, they put it up on trademe for $550, I called and put it on hold within 5 minutes of it hitting trademe!

Thought I’d add a pic of my one remaining Ruger I mentioned earlier.

Ruger M77 MKII in 223. Doesn’t get used much, would sell it if anyone is looking for one of these in particular. Serial no dates to early 2000s which had me confused because the condition is so good. Guessing this spent a lot of its life in a safe.

    Extractor claw need a sharpen/reshape

Usually easier to chuck a kit in from one of the companies that makes the upgrades
    Really easy to swap out

My bargain M77 220 Swift with Meopta 3-12x50 and Atec H2. Aluminium pillar/epoxy bedded stock. Bit of a heffalump but it's my favourite deer rifle. Lovely smooth action. It's waiting for a 1:9 stainless barrel in 220 Ackley improved.

Awesome looking wood on that carbine.
I've had 3 Rugers, a 1022 that I sold, a mini thirty that was great but had to sell it to cindy and a 308 scout that I can't find any photo's of.
I'd like one of the Guide or Alaskan's in a DG caliber but we'll see....

260Rem has taken a lot of deer for me before I sold it to my uncle. Then he sold it back to me in his final stages of cancer. He threw in a couple of other guns with it also. I had just enough time to order a scope and sight it in and take it back to the field with me and take this buck opening morning in some very thick fog. He had a big body.

Some nice guns here! I believe there was a run of 10/22s that made it to NZ with sub par barrels, which understandably put a lot of people off(my uncle included, his one he bought new grouped about 10” at 50m!) but thankfully, touch wood, I haven’t come across one of those yet.

There are definitely lighter, more accurate and better looking rifles out there, but there’s just something about Rugers that keeps me coming back
