Well if you look through what rifles i own it's very clear there is a pattern of preferred style
I really like the synthetic stocks, have done ever since I started shooting with my uncles synthetic stocked 10/22 when i was around 12 years old. The other pattern is buying cheaper types available but with research i have ended up with very accurate sporting rifles and at a sensible cost. I have too many hobbies to put as much coin into rifles as i'd like so that is my reality.
I bought this rifle because it was cheap, no real other reason apart from it having a synthetic stock which i like. I bought it for my son to shoot with when he was about ten and it is small and a bolt action because i had a 10/22 at the time and wasn't keen to let him shoot with a semi-auto.
It turned out this is very accurate and eventually i would pull this out of the safe in preference over the 10/22 so ended up selling the ruger. Back when i bought it it was about $450 complete with scope.
