Hey Full noise, your .30/06 looks like a very nice outfit. Should be great for just about anything.
Maybe spend ya money on rangefinder,binos,4WD tyres chains & snorkel, decent boots...
If you decide to start sniping tahr at 900 yards then build a .338 LM or whatever, for that purpose.

Got all the other gear jacked up ranger with 33s snorkel etc
More of the 3006 is set up for that 3-9
Wanting another set with more powerful scope but unsure of calibre to run
So maybe 7rm with a 4-16 or 5-25 hd5 is sounding like the choice to have

I must be really old for my age , because I remember a time when a 30/06 with a 3-9 scope was considered some serious long rang gear that me and my hunting mates only dreamed of one day owning and more importantly , actually needed .

Youve been stringing us along havent you ?

Assuming you want to shoot smallar stuff bit further away then you need a rangefinder and a dial up scope.no point trading down so a dialling zeiss or swaro z5 3.5 to 18 or a mid size nightforce would be best use of your money. Also spend it on ammo , trahectory test and practice. You already have a good rifle for the job.

Next you will tell us you really want to shoot moose whitetails or wallabies and we ll all be scrambling to tell you something different.
